Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of theconsulo.com (the "Site"), published by The Consulo. By reading, subscribing to or otherwise using the Site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. What The Consulo is

The Consulo publishes independent news reporting and analysis on geopolitics, security and energy. Daily news is free to read; the Brief and in-depth analysis are reserved for paying members, as marked on the Site.

2. Editorial content, not advice

Everything we publish is independent journalism and commentary. It is provided for general information only and is not financial, investment, legal or other professional advice. Don't make decisions — especially financial ones — based solely on anything we publish, and seek advice from a qualified professional where appropriate.

3. Accuracy

We report and analyse a fast-moving world as carefully as we can, but we make no warranty that any article is complete, error-free or up to date at the time you read it. If you spot a factual error, tell us and we'll correct it.

4. Accounts

Some features (saving articles, membership content, the account area) require an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

5. Paid membership

• Paid tiers (currently the Consulo Brief and Consulo Consilium plans) are billed on a recurring basis via Stripe, at the price shown at checkout.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account page; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Prices may change — we'll give you notice before any change applies to an existing subscription.
• Refunds are handled case-by-case; contact us if something's wrong with a charge.

6. Using our content

Articles, analysis and The Consulo name and logo are our content and property (or used by us under licence). You're welcome to read, share links to, and quote brief excerpts of our work with attribution and a link back to the original. Republishing, scraping or reproducing full articles without our written permission isn't allowed.

7. Acceptable use

Please don't: attempt to break into the Site or its systems; interfere with its normal operation; scrape it at scale; or use it for anything unlawful.

8. Third-party links

We sometimes link to outlets and sources we don't control. We aren't responsible for the content or practices of external sites.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the Site running reliably but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and may change or discontinue features from time to time.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Consulo isn't liable for losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Site evolves; the date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the update.
