The next target of Russian drones may not be NATO’s eastern flank, but the Mediterranean. According to Spain’s El Mundo, U.S. intelligence provided several European countries with a report outlining a possible scenario for a Russian attack on Spain, France, or Italy. The scenario is specific: Gerbera drones launched from containers aboard commercial vessels. Several defense analysts told the newspaper that they were aware of such a report. At the same time, Emmanuel Macron said that French intelligence services had received no such warning from the CIA, while Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said the information concerning Italy had not been confirmed.
